This Mumbai Startup Is Disrupting the LED Market With Water-Activated Diyas

Mumbai, India, October 28, 2024:  From a simple observation of customer behaviour to becoming a pioneer in LED home decor, TedTech‘s journey reflects its innovation, driven by understanding consumer needs. Founded in April 2019 in Vasai, Mumbai, this startup has revolutionised the traditional lighting industry by seamlessly blending technology with tradition.

A Journey to Sparkling Innovation

The story begins with Nikunj Singh, an electronics engineering graduate, who, along with his three friends – Devesh Rawat, Sunil Vishwakarma, and Amit Singh – started Tedtech Traders as an online seller of LED lights and toys. A pivotal moment came when they noticed customers attempting to pour oil and ghee into their LED diyas, seeking a more authentic experience. This observation sparked an innovative idea – the Water Sensor Diya, a smart adaptation that would activate when water was poured into it, mimicking the traditional oil-based diya.

Lighting Up the Market

What started as a simple solution quickly became a market sensation. TedTech’s commitment to innovation didn’t stop there. The company has consistently introduced groundbreaking products, establishing itself as a leader in the LED home decor market. Some of their revolutionary and patented products include:

3D Reflection Water Sensor Diya: A transparent diya that creates vibrant colour patterns on the ground when activated

LED Lotus Reflection Water Diya: Projects a beautiful lotus flower pattern when illuminated

LED Panchmukhi Water Diya: A unique 5-in-1 design featuring petal-like arranged LEDs

Triangular LED Touch Light Wall Panels: Affordable smart lighting solutions with RGB capabilities

Beyond Innovation: Building a Brand

Within five years, TedTech transformed from a small trading company to TedTech Private Limited, an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer. The company’s commitment to quality and innovation has led to multiple certifications, including STARTUP INDIA, ROHS, and ZED. Today, TedTech products illuminate homes in seven countries, with plans for further expansion.

Furthermore, TedTech is focused on making smart lighting accessible to every Indian household. Their latest venture into app-controlled LED panels with 16 million colours and music sync capabilities exemplifies their mission to provide affordable, high-quality lighting solutions.

As TedTech continues to grow, it remains true to its core values: innovation, quality, and affordability. By designing and manufacturing in India, the company not only contributes to the national economy but also ensures that every product meets the highest standards of excellence.
