The National Youth Festival celebrates 1st State Sports Day.

In the 27th National Youth Festival organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the fourth day featured the celebration of Maharashtra’s Olympic wrestling champion Khashaba Jadhav’s birthday as the 1st State Sports Day. The event took place at the MahaYuva Gram Hanuman Nagar on Monday, January 15. During the festival, National Youth Awards were presented to 15 young individuals by the Hon. Minister of State, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Shri. Nisith Pramanik. Various cultural programs, including cultural programs, poster exhibitions, folk songs, and solo performances, were organized throughout the day at Mahakavi Kalidas Kalamandir and Udaji Maharaj Musuem. The Suvichar Sammelan held at MahaYuva Gram Hanuman Nagar, guests for the occasion were Bollywood actor & President of Rugby Federation of India, Shri Rahul Bose and the chairman of Mann Deshi Champions Programme, Shri Prabhat Sinha. They shared insights and encouragement with the youth, emphasizing the importance of hard work and determination to achieve success in life. The cultural events held at Mahakavi Kalidas Kalamandir showcased the talent and creativity of the youth, fostering a sense of pride and inspiration. In a special program at the Raosahab Thorat auditorium, posters and photographs were displayed, celebrating the artistic achievements of the youth. The festival not only highlighted cultural diversity but also served as a platform to recognize and appreciate the skills and contributions of young individuals in various fields, contributing to the overall development of society and the nation. The essence of the 1st State Sports Day was further emphasized with the presence of Khashaba Jadhav’s Olympic medal-winning legacy, elevating the significance of sports in Maharashtra. The festival, organized on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s 161st birth anniversary, aimed to provide a platform for the youth to interact with accomplished individuals in diverse fields, gaining insights and inspiration. The National Youth Festival continues to be a source of motivation for young talents, fostering a culture of creativity, sportsmanship, and cultural diversity.
