In a historic event, Sattvik Certifications, a leading authority in certifying vegetarian and vegan products, launched the world’s first comprehensive Buddhist manual on dietary guidelines and practices. The manual aims to offer a structured approach to mindful eating, aligning with the principles of Buddhism.

Mr. Abhishek Biswas, the visionary founder of Sattvik Certifications, had the honour of presenting the inaugural copy of this groundbreaking manual to His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama.

The manual is designed to guide Buddhists around the globe in maintaining a diet that aligns with their spiritual and ethical beliefs. It covers a wide range of topics, including vegetarian and vegan nutrition, mindful eating practices, and the ethical implications of food choices in accordance with Buddhist teachings.

Mr. Biswas expressed his gratitude and excitement at the launch, stating, “We are deeply honored to present this manual to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. This initiative is a step towards promoting a lifestyle that is in harmony with nature and compassionate towards all living beings. Our goal is to provide a valuable resource that supports the global Buddhist community in making informed dietary choices.”

His Holiness the Dalai Lama, known for his advocacy of non-violence and compassion, commended the effort, highlighting the importance of mindful and ethical eating in Buddhist practice. “This manual will serve as a significant guide for Buddhists who wish to integrate their dietary habits with their spiritual practice. I appreciate the work done by Sattvik Certifications in promoting such noble values,” he remarked
