Rajkumar Rao and Tripti starrer film “Vicky Vidya ka woh wala video” In trouble, Writer Amit Gupta claims on the story

Mumbai. Rajkumar Rao and Tripti Dimri starrer film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ has been embroiled in controversy even before its release in theatres. Amit Gupta has also sent a legal notice to the producers through his lawyer regarding the story of this film.

 

Well-known Bollywood writer Amit Gupta has sent a legal notice to the producers of this film. In a press conference held in Mumbai, Amit Gupta said that when he saw the trailer of the film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, he was surprised because its central concept is written by him. He had registered this story with the Screen Writers Association (SWA) as a writer a long time ago. That is why we have approached the court and sent a legal notice to all the makers of ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’.”

 

Let us tell you that the story of ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ revolves around a newly married couple who record their private DVD on their wedding night. The twist in the story comes when the DVD gets lost, this creates chaos in their life and then comedy is created.

 

Amit Gupta has said that he had written the basic structure of the story, which has also been registered with the Screen Writer Association. Now the film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ has been made on the same idea. This is a case of copyright infringement and I have sent a notice against the producers. In the reply received from the makers, the date of registration written by them is after the registration date of Amit Gupta. This proves that Amit Gupta’s claim is correct.

‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is going to release on 11 October 2024.
