Honour Sardar Manmohan Singh ji with “Bharat Ratan”: Namdhari Sikhs requested the government

(New Delhi) Namdhari Sikhs, being a Sikh sect; have requested the Government of India to honour Nation Saviour, Sikh Prime Minister, Sardar Manmohan Singh with “Bharat Ratan”. In press conference, organized at Constitutional Club, New Delhi: Namdhari Sikhs said “S. Manmohan Singh g will be the first Kesdhari-Sikh (Sikh with hairs), to be awarded with “Bharat Ratan” (although hairless can also be Sikhs). Therefore, he must be honored with Bharat Ratan”. 

Ranbir Singh said; With the grace of Satguru Ram Singh Ji and by the instructions of our present Guru; Thakur Dalip Singh Ji, we Namdhari Sikhs have written several letters to the government in this respect.

S. Manmohan Singh Ji was awarded “Padam Vibhushan” In 1987 by Government of India for his services to the nation. He was honored with “Order of King Abdulaziz” by Saudi Arabia in 2010 and “Order of the Paulownia Flowers” by Japan in 2014.

Namdhari Sikhs have highlighted several great achievements of S. Manmohan Singh Ji, which makes him a real deserving person for “Bharat Ratan”. Like: In 1991, becoming Finance Minister, he rescued India from a dire situation of a bankrupt economy. The real credit for reviving Bharat’s economy goes to S. Manmohan Singh Ji. According to M.S.P.I.: during his tenure, independent India had the highest growth rate of 10.08% in 2006-07. Apart from this, his government achieved significant achievement by successfully finalizing the nuclear treaty between India and USA. He started extremely useful revolutionary “Aadhaar Card” scheme. His government also implemented the RTI Act, 2005, which is one of the most effective laws in combating corruption and promoting transparency in BHARAT’s history. 

To create friendly relations between India, Brazil and South Africa, Dr. Manmohan Singh, established I.B.S.A. (India, Brazil, South Africa) Dialogue Forum. In 2005, the MNREGA Act was passed, which ensured economic security of poor families. Similarly, to deal with crimes committed against the security & sovereignty of India; he established the National Investigation Agency (N.I.A.) in 2008. “Peace Pipeline Project” was initiated in 2009, to connect Indian subcontinent with Iran’s gas resources. In 2013, “National Health Mission” was launched to improve maternal and child health. These initiatives strengthened Bharat’s internal policies and enhanced India’s position at the international level. 

Lakhwinder Singh said that B.J.P. government has made it clear that B.J.P. respect the great personalities of India by rising above party politics. It has honoured previous Prime Ministers ‘Narasimha Rao’ and ‘Chaudhary Charan Singh’ with “Bharat Ratan”; despite being Prime Ministers of opposition parties. In the same way, S. Manmohan Singh should be honored by B.J.P. with “Bharat Ratan”. He also said “as all B.J.P. members and B.J.P. dignitaries of government: have devotion for Sikhs Guru Ji. If B.J.P. Government, will honor S. Manmohan Singh as a “nation Saviour Sikh Prime Minister”, with “Bharat Ratan”; then B.J.P.’s devotion and love towards Sikh religion will become clearly evident.

Ratandeep Singh again requested Government that S. Manmohan Singh is aged and his health is not good. Therefore, by accepting the request of Namdhari Sikhs: please honor S. Manmohan Singh during his lifetime with “Bharat Ratan”. 

In the end, Gurdeep Kaur said that no one asked us to request for giving “Bharat Ratan” to him. Being a “Nationalist & Sikh” present Namdhari Guru Ji, has initiated this independent thought that S. Manmohan Singh must be honored with “Bharat Ratan”.
