Hindustan Zinc Unveils a New Campaign #ZincCity: Uniting Udaipur Through a Vibrant Cultural Tapestry

Udaipur, January 10, 2024: Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Rajasthan, Udaipur, the ‘City of

Lakes,’ has captivated the world with its rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking beauty. A new

thread is being woven into the tapestry of Udaipur. On its foundation day, Hindustan Zinc, a subsidiary

arm of Vedanta and the worldsecond-largest producer of Zinc, headquartered in Udaipur, today

launched a new campaign called #ZincCity, which will act as a platform to celebrate Udaipur cultural

spirit through Hindustan’s Zinc’s various initiatives focused on communities and the environment.

Zinc City aims to bring people from all walks together across India and globally by curating and

supporting a kaleidoscope of events. The company plans to organize events such as Music Festivals,

Marathons, and Football Tournaments among others, positioning Udaipur as a prominent destination

for celebrating India and its varied culture.

Additionally, Zinc City will also focus on community development initiatives such as Sakhi Utsav, Bird

Festival, National Youth Day, and initiatives around encouraging women in mining. From an

environmental perspective, Zinc City will focus on initiatives around World Water Day and World

Environment Day, reiterating its unwavering commitment towards a sustainable future.

Through Zinc City, Hindustan Zinc plans to showcase Udaipur’s rich cultural heritage and the

contribution of Zinc in driving the force to foster holistic growth of communities and the environment,

aligned with the economic growth of the country.
