Customised Insurer for Hospital (Package Insurance)

A Hospital is exposed to various risks affecting it in many ways – This arises from perils like Fire and Allies Perils, Burglary, Accidents, Legal liabilities etc. Different types of insurance policies are available to take care of these risks. However, many Insurers have come up with a package policy to cover all these risks.

 Salient Features of the Policy designed by one of the Insurers are as under:

Section 1 – Fire and Allied Perils covering Building including fixtures, fittings, boundary wall and fences, Hospital Contents 

Section 2 – Breakdown of Hospital Machineries/ Equipment and electrical and mechanical gadgets – Risks covered: Electrical/mechanical breakdown.

Section 3 – Portable Computers/Laptop whilst being carried anywhere in the world.

Section 4 – Burglary Section – the financial loss that you suffer in case of a burglary or attempted burglary into your home or business premises.

Section 5 – Money Insurance – Loss of money while in transit by accident and/or misfortune.

Section 6 – Fidelity Guarantee – of any salaried person employed by the insured. Risks covered – Pecuniary loss caused by fraud and/or dishonest act.

Section 7 – Fixed Plate Glass & Sanitary Fittings – Accidental Breakage including damage to frames.

Risks covered: unforeseen sudden physical loss, loss or damage due to any cause other than those specifically excluded.

Section 8 – Additional Expenses or Rent for Alternative accommodation – for alternate accommodation if premises occupied is damaged and declared unfit for occupation. Risks covered as per Section 2A.

Section 9 – Personal Accident for self and employees – Risks covered: Death, Permanent Total or partial disablement and temporary total disablement due to accident as per standard PA Policy.

Section 10    (a) Public Liability

                    (b) Workmen’s Compensation

Section 11 – Mediclaim

Section 12 – Neon Sign/Glow Sign Covers loss of or damage to neon sign / glow sign (Upto certain amount)

There are some compulsory Sections and Minimum Sections to be covered.
