inDrive.Freight introduction best bid and shows strong growth in India

30th July, 2024, India: inDrive, an urban services mobility platform is growing and expanding its services in India. inDrive.Freight is growing rapidly in India, reaching up to 20% growth in rides monthly, starting in 2024.

“inDrive.Freight is available across multiple cities in India and will now be available in Bangalore and Kolkata. With inDrive.Freight, users can order same-day cargo transportation of up to 20 tonnes at their own price through the inDrive app. A variety of vehicles are available, depending on the type and weight of the cargo – from rikshaws and small trucks, to medium and large trucks. As with most other inDrive products, when ordering a truck, users can negotiate a fair price without intermediaries or a long wait for a vehicle, by choosing from drivers verified by the service.” said Kseniia Maiorova, Senior Product Manager, inDrive.Freight.

While the service is useful for personal needs (for example, moving home or transporting furniture), it is in particular demand among businesses such as stores, small manufacturers, agriculture, furniture stores, etc.

The freight service is currently used by hundreds of entrepreneurs in more than 20 countries globally. In some markets, it is growing 100+% year over year, enabled by strong technology, quality and safety improvements in the service.

inDrive.Freight applies inDrive’s ‘set your own price’ business model to the transportation of large items and loads heavier than 20kg for business needs. With inDrive.Freight, users can order the same-day transportation of cargo up to 20 tonnes, using the inDrive mobile app. A variety of vehicles are available, depending on the type and weight of the cargo – from pickups and small trucks to medium and large trucks. As with most other inDrive products, when ordering a truck, users negotiate a fair price without intermediaries or a long wait for a vehicle, by choosing from drivers verified by the service.

inDrive.Freight has introduced Best Bid, an innovative predictive model that helps users find the most suitable offer, by highlighting the bid that best fits the user’s needs. To determine the best offer, the app evaluates the available bids by scoring multiple indicators, including the driver’s rating and performance, the type of truck, and the distance of the driver from point A. This is especially useful when users hurry to organize a delivery.

“The feature helps users find the best driver for their order – i.e. the quickest, safest and most suited to their needs – by scoring drivers’ ratings and activity in the service. This positively impacts both drivers’ and clients’ experience and satisfaction. With this, we’re living up to our commitment to constantly improve the quality and safety of our inDrive.Freight service for our users,” added Kseniia Maiorova.
